Peperomia

Trying to think of a tagline for these. The seemingly unpopular "ol' reliable" of houseplants. They are pretty nice.

Baby Rubber Plant

  • Obtained: December 2023
  • Image Last Updated: May 2025
  • Notes: A Christmas gift from my mom. Nice big green leaves, grows well, tree-like shape, tolerates fighting my monstera for light, I am a fan of this plant.

It was unfortunately, the worst-hit victim from the (2025) summer heatwave here ow OW. I picked it up 'cuz I noticed it had dropped a leaf, and as I did nearly every other leaf fell off the plant instantly. Cannot describe the look of horror on my face as it happened. It is gradually recovering, but I'm not gonna bother taking an update pic for a while hahaha.

Baby Rubber Plant (Variegated)

  • Obtained: December 2023
  • Image Last Updated: January 2024
  • Notes: Another Christmas gift from my mom. This one grows WAY slower than the regular green one (even in a cabinet), but I still like it!

Baby Rubber Plant 2 (Variegated) Boogaloo

  • Obtained: May 2024
  • Image Last Updated: May 2025
  • Notes: I'm not a "collect-em-all" kind of person when it comes to fave types of plants, I just saw this one and really liked the splotching on it. Seems to be the chillest out of all three plants, actually.

Peperomia Red Log(?)

  • Obtained: January 2024
  • Image Last Updated: January 2024
  • Notes: This^ image does not really capture it, but this plant initially had like, an almost candelabra-esque shape to it. It's now turned into a trailing plant, but boy it was cool for those first few months...It was cool...

It's virtually indistinguishable from my Verticillata down below (I think one has slightly fuzzier leaves, that's it) so I might end up potting them together at some point!!

Peperomia Ruby Glow

  • Obtained: October 2023
  • Image Last Updated: May 2025
  • Notes: Another "victim of my beginner mistakes" plant. I didn't give this plant enough light until I got a greenhouse cabinet, then it went into leggy overdrive and stretched itself up to the cabinet ceiling IMMEDIATELY out of desperation. I left it like that for a few months 'cuz I was sentimental about potentially losing the OG part of the plant, but it was getting to the point where it really needed a chop. The end result...actually looks really good??? I really like how it's currently branching?? (I know it's still leggy, BUT...)

Peperomia Stilts

  • Obtained: February 2024
  • Image Last Updated: May 2025
  • Notes: Underrated plant imo. The leaves have a really interesting and pleasant texture to 'em. It wants to trail sooo bad and I keep twisting the vines around each other to force it to support itself upright (Sorry Plant).

I definitely took a picture of this when I first got it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. -_-

Peperomia Verticillata(?)

  • Obtained: March 2024
  • Image Last Updated: May 2025
  • Notes: *strums guitar* Did not know this was a trailing plantttt *strums guitar again* Don't really have places to grow thoseee.

This^ photo actually looks pretty nice, but normally I've got this thing crammed in the back of my greenhouse cabinet, trailing along the ground. It kind of feels like a waste. The leaves are very fuzzy and it propagates excessively easily. Wish I had someplace to put it where it could actually look its best.
